About Dr. Eva Gortner

LICENSED PSYCHOLOGIST
I have 25 years of experience helping people create more fulfilling lives. Raised and educated in both Texas and Europe, I bring a cross-cultural perspective to my work.
I completed my undergraduate studies at the University of Würzburg in Germany and earned my PhD in Counseling Psychology from The University of Texas at Austin.
My clinical experience includes work in university counseling centers, outpatient clinics, forensic settings, inpatient geriatric rehabilitation settings, and the Rice University Counseling Center.
Alongside my clinical practice, I have taught and supervised graduate psychology students, guest lectured internationally, and led trainings on diversity, suicide prevention, culture shock, and other areas central to well-being.
I am licensed by the Texas Board of Examiners of Psychologists to practice psychology in Texas and authorized to practice under the Psychology Interjurisdictional Compact (PSYPACT).
